Hot Melt Dispensers are of mainly 3 types : Mechanical Systems - Example Hot Melt Rollers, which consist of a roll suspended in a heating tank of melted HMA, when you place the material on the substrate and roll it forward it applies the hotmelt to your product. These kinds of dispensers are used in the manufacturing of shoes, diapers, paper coating etc. Pneumatic Dispensers - This type includes an airtight hot melt tank that dispenses glue out of a nozzle on the application of pneumatic pressure. This method is best for start-stop dispensing applications such as carton box line sealing, but it cannot dispense the glue away from the melting tank. The dispensing nozzle remains stationary and directly under the pneumatically pressured tank. Positive Displacement Pump - This type is preferred for prolonged dispensation when a wide & even coating is required. 2 types of pumps can be used - gear pump/pneumatic pump and pump the HMA through a heated hose pipe allowing application upto 2 to 3 metres of maneuverable range from the tank unlike the pneumatic dispensers.
